Shipping & Returns
In accordance with the Sale of Goods Act 1979, consumers are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair where goods are faulty or not as described. For goods bought in person: if you've changed your mind, we're sorry, there is no automatic right to return unwanted goods.
Mail Order Purchases
In accordance with distance selling regulations, you have a 7 day 'cooling off period' in which you have the right to cancel your purchase. Goods must be returned in an unused, saleable condition, in original packaging, within 7 days of placing the order. In this instance, the customer is responsible for the safe return of goods and for all the delivery charges involved within the transaction. Goods must be returned by Royal Mail recorded delivery or by courier and we must be notified by email prior to return. Please note that special-ordered goods and modified goods (for example,bikes, bikes fitted to order with special light brackets/childseats/baskets) are an exception to this law.
Returned goods are subject to a 20% administration charge.

Costs of shipment
At POPIEL Cycles we want to make the delivery as simple as possible. Delivery can be made ‘over complicated’ with several expensive options. We try to keep our services as cheap and fast along with simple as possible.
UK Mainland:All our bikes,accesories and components bought will be sent to you by courier.Delivery is free when your order exceeds £100.00. For all orders below £100.00 we will charge you £7.00/per order.
We aim dispatch your order within 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays), however most orders do leave within 1-2 working days. Items in stock will usually leave the same day.
If your item is out of stock we will order it in and usually have the item within 8 working days.
Should your item be unavailable from our suppliers we will notify you of any delays as soon as possible.
You will receive an email to let you know when your order has left our premises. The delivery information above is from the time of despatch not from the time of ordering.
If no one is home when smaller items are sent , a card will be left and you can either collect from the local depot or arrange a redelivery.
Bikes are sent by courier on 48-72 hour delivery. You will receive details of the delivery on the evening it leaves us and your order will be traceable online the following morning.
Bikes are all checked and set up before leaving, please note bikes are shipped in the manufactors box for environmental reasons. Most bikes will require the front wheel, handlebars, pedals and seatpost assembling.
Someone needs to sign for the package upon delivery. The courier will attempt 2 deliveries or the customer can arrange for delivery with the courier for more convenient day.
After 2 attempts the package will be returned to us and you may be subject to a charge for redelivery.

Please note we cannot arrange deliveries for specific time’s only days.
Stock Levels.
Our stock levels are enormous, but due to the huge range of products available it’s inevitable some items will be temporarily out of stock, in most cases we can order extra stock in 1-8 days, however some items may take a little longer, if your order is going to be delayed more than 5 working days we will be in touch to let you know.

We are sorry but we do not ship bikes abroad.
All shipment outside the UK will need to be organised by a client however we will be happy to prepare all our products for shipment.
We aim to get your goods to you as soon as possible. However, please note the following:
Your order for goods is subject to availability. Delivery forms no part of our contract to supply goods within a specified time frame. We endeavour to deliver goods within 3-7 days of receiving the order for products we have in stock and within 2 to 8 weeks for bicycles of receiving the order.( We cannot always guarantee your size and colour choice is in stock. Should that be the case we can get any Gazelle to special order. For orders, delivery can be anything from two to eight weeks).
However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply goods within this time frame. We regret we cannot give specific dates or times for delivery. We can however supply a tracking number, which can be used to contact your local FedEx UK depot.
Transit damage during shipment organised by POPIEL CYCLES
POPIEL CYCLES cannot make insurance claims for transit damage more than 24 hours after receipt. If you find your goods damaged, please call us immediately and email photographs of the packaging and contents. Damage claims will be dealt with on a case by case basis and we will do our very best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible. For minor damage, replacement parts will be sent before a product swap. If damage is substantial, and you have followed the procedure above, we will arrange for goods to be collected and replaced (subject to availability) or refunded.
Delivery charge includes one failed delivery. For more than one failed delivery, customers will be charged again. If you refuse delivery for any reason other than damage, a charge of £50 will be made for the initial packaging, workshop time and delivery costs. This amount will be deducted from any refund that you receive.
All prices quoted on our website include VAT at the UK rate of 17.5%, where applicable.

Warranties
Manufacturer's warranties differ for each product. Should any original component prove defective in terms of material deficiency or workmanship within the warranty period, we will either replace or repair it free of charge. All claims must be submitted to us in writing within the warranty period. Our liability covers parts only, but does not cover labour charges from other cycle dealers, transportation charges or consequential loss. It is therefore the responsibility of the purchaser to return the cycle or component to us for assessment, replacement, or repair. This guarantee does not cover the effects of normal wear and tear, or damage caused by accident, abuse or neglect. It does not cover off-road cycling. We strongly recommend before riding your cycle or using your accessories that you read and understand fully any relevant information supplied.

Purchase with Cyclescheme Vouchers
In case customer wants to use your cyclescheme voucher in order to purchase a bike from our shop, we will require :
-a deposit of £100.00 for all bike to be ordered worth up to £1000.00
-a deposit of £200.00 for all bike to be ordered worth more than £1000.00
Deposit is not refundable in case the customer changes mind and does not want to purchase the bike ordered any more.
Once voucher has been cashed ,deposit will be refundable to the customer.
Gazelle Export Warranty Procedure.
• Warranty period components is 2 years. Normal wear and tear are excluded.
• Warranty period frames and solid steel front forks is 10 years.
• Warranty period suspension front forks originally mounted by Gazelle is 5 years.
How to claim.
In case of a justified claim the component will be replaced free of charge.
If we are in doubt we will request you to return the component to Koninklijke Gazelle N.V.
In some cases we will also if the claim is justified, request you to return the component to Koninklijke Gazelle N.V. Please use in these cases the Gazelle warranty label which is to be attached to the component.
No Warranty.
Damage caused by an external effect after the bicycle was delivered to the consumer is excluded from warranty.
Components that are worn out in use are excluded from warranty.

Frame and Front fork.
With normal treatment, use and maintenance of the bicycle, Gazelle gives a 10-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects on the frame and fixed front fork. This warranty also applies to aluminium frames! For suspension forks (mounted by Gazelle) a 5-year warranty applies.
Frame and front fork paintwork.
A 5-year warranty against rust from the inside in the case of normal maintenance and treatment , without damage.
Other painted and chromed parts.
A 2-year warranty against rust in the case of normal maintenance, use and treatment.
Parts.
A 2-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects in the case of normal treatment, use and maintenance. Wear is not covered by the warranty.
Complaint handling.
Complaints are dealt with by the Gazelle Dealer. He is authorised in first instance to judge on behalf of Gazelle if warranty applies.
The part in question shall be sent to Gazelle by the Dealer, accompanied by the certificate of guarantee and along with a description of the complaint. Possible costs of disassembly and assembly have to be paid by the owner of the bicycle.
General.
Parts that are covered by the aforementioned warranty - as shall be judged by the manufacturer – shall be replaced. Warranty is granted only if upon replacement original parts or parts that were prescribed by the manufacturer have been used and only applies to the first owner. The warranty is cancelled if the user does not act in accordance with the instructions and warnings given in this user manual. These warranty terms do not apply in the case of competing in races. With regard to bike rental different terms do apply. Apart from these warranty terms, the buyer can hold the seller liable on the grounds of rights or claims that the law grants him.

POPIEL bicycles hire terms
1)The Hirer will be asked for proof of identification upon delivery of bicycle and required accessories (e. g. driving licence, passport or photo ID)
2)The hirer is required (before the commencement of hire)to provide POPIEL Rental with credit card details, for precautionary use only, and to authorize POPIEL to charge on the above credit card all eventual costs in case of damages, loss or theft of the bike(s) or the hired equipment according to wholesale price and comprehensive of labour.
3)The minimum age for hiring a bike is 18 years, under which the presence of an adult will be necessary to assume all responsibilities.
4)Booking of equipment must be made at least 24 hours before the commencement of hire.
5)The Hirer must return the equipment in the same condition as it was delivered at the start of the hire period. All equipment will be very carefully checked after each hire
6)In case of stolen, damaged or lost equipment, or if the equipment is not returned to Dutchbikehire company by the period agreed, the Owner will have the right to keep all or part of the deposit in order to cover all damage found.
7)The Hirer is responsible for the equipment supplied by dutchbikehire.com during the period of hire. In the event of any incident such as loss, damage or theft of the equipment supplied by the Owner, the Hirer must cover any damage costs occurred to the bicycle.
The charges are as follows:
Complete bicycle: £300
Wheel: £30
Helmet: £15
Light: £5
Seat: £30
Any accessories such as the following:
Lock £15
Basket £20
8)During the period of hire agreed, the Hirer must not leave the equipment unlocked or unsecured properly.
9)No refund of hire charges will be given for any bicycle hire and/or pre-booked guided tours.
10)The Owner, POPIEL will provide safety checked equipment before handover.
11)POPIEL encourage all bike users to wear the supplied helmet provided and follow the Highway Code.
12)The Hire must notify the Owner about any breakdown, theft or loss of the Equipment or this kind of incident immediately.
In the event of mechanical breakdown of the Equipment, the
13)Owner will try their upmost to repair it or replace it whilst on hire
14)The Owner, POPIEL is exempt of any responsibility for any incidents related to the Hirer or any users of the POPIEL equipment as a consequence of careless behaviour of the Hirer (including physical injuries or even death of the Hirer), for any loss, costs, expenses, during the hire period.
15)The Hirer accepts the full responsibility for his/her behaviour while in possession of the bicycle.
16)POPIEL recommends to all Hirers to buy Travel Insurance to cover unexpected costs occurred whilst hire.
